In this course, participants will learn about the college admissions process, financial aid, HEOP, EOP, SEEK, and College Discovery programs. Furthermore, participants will understand the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the different types of loans and their interest rates. The workshop will also discuss the impact of taxes and household composition as it relates to the expected family contribution towards college cost. The goal of this workshop is to help counselors, teachers, and stakeholders learn about financial aid so they can better assist students through the college admissions process.
