Make plans to attend the CEE/NAEE/GATE Annual Conference focusing on K-12 Economic, Financial and Entrepreneurship Education.

The Request for Proposal are available at www.councilforeconed.org/conference/proposals. The conference committee will meet in late February to review proposals.

For planning purposes, the conference registration fee will be $200 for attendees; $100 for K-12 teachers and administrators who are members of GATE.

The Marriott Biscayne Bay conference hotel rate will be $95 for single/double occupancy. Registration, travel and hotel logistics will be posted in the spring of 2010.

Conference Highlights

  • Overview of the Council for Economic Education current program initiatives.
  • The latest in program, curriculum development, teaching resources, research and evaluation and technology for teaching economics, personal finance and entrepreneurship education.
  • Leadership, management and orientation sessions for affiliated council and center directors and staff.
  • Professional development workshops and sessions for K-12 teachers.
  • Networking opportunities for K-12 teachers and university-level economic educators.
  • Hands-on technology sessions.

K-12 Teacher Professional Development – Continuing Education Credits

  • 2-hour intensive workshops for elementary, middle and high school teachers using the newest teaching resources and programs from the Council for Economic Education. The Council will provide attendees with certificates of completion for their participation in the conference and attendance at workshops.
